We are delighted that you agreed to this interview. Can you please introduce yourself to our community?
I am Sango, and my wife is Bri. We work as a team and come up with ideas for our series collectively. Alien Ant Pharm is our main series and our first together. She makes each NFT as generative art, which gives us a lot of creative freedom.
What inspired you to start creating digital art, especially NFTs?
My wife has always been into art and also loves storytelling, she has a film degree. When I explained NFTs to her, she was very interested in what they could become. I have a tech background, and I told her that I could handle all of the parts of creation that she did not understand so that she could focus on creativity and creation.
What was the first NFT you bought, and what is its story?
I’ve collected so many over time that I don’t truly remember what my “first” was. I do remember that the first time I was really like, “Oh man, I wish I’d have bought one of those,” was when Code’s Ku Collection initially launched on Singular and took off. Really loved the simplistic and beautiful art and how much thought and detail went into each one. After that, I really jumped in. I, along with two IRL friends, later purchased 9 Kusama Kings. It is a great group of minds from throughout our ecosystem, as well as others.
Tell us more about your collection Alien Ant Pharm.
This is our first collective and collaborative effort together. It will serve as our genesis collection going forward across everything that we do. Those who support and have supported us have opened a door for us and allowed us to explore what could be possible within the NFT space. We won’t forget that and will continue to find ways to support those who support us.
Which Alien is your favorite?
They’re all so unique. It’s always hard to settle on just one. And my answer may likely change from day to day. But right now, I would have to go with #229, an Empire class Alien owned by our friend JoeQ.
Which NFT is the one you think everyone should follow? Why is that?
Within our ecosystem, to me, it would easily be KBL and the Kusama Kingdom. Outside of our ecosystem, I would have to say that Frank DeGods has impressed me. He and his team are very creative, and at 24, he understands the attention economy and marketing, unlike anyone I’ve come across within the space.
What are you working on right now?
We’ve been stretched thin of late, as the bear market has made us realize that we need to adjust our plans. But we’ve been using this time to come up with some new ideas and new goals. We will be launching some series outside of our ecosystem, and to support our Genesis collectors and AAP, all roads will always lead back there. Instead of having our original supporters have to create new wallets to receive these new NFTs, we will use the funds raised to flow back into AAP directly and its holders both directly, passively, and over time as we build out what we have planned medium-to longer term, as a waypoint for everything that will follow. We’ve been using this time to also branch out into the web2 world, have entered a few local contests, have been working on a collaborative commission piece locally, and also exploring and developing contacts for what we’d like to achieve long-term within web3.
How do you want people to perceive your art?
However, they like it! There is no one lens to view art from. As we continue our Genesis series, our art styles will change with us and with the collection.
Architect - The newest Alien in the collection Do you think that the bear market affected the way you work?
Oh absolutely. Between the bear market and internal feuds within our ecosystem (the dust-up between Donnie and Bruno and their camps), we’ve opened our eyes to how fragile and young our ecosystem is. What we always loved about the Kusama ecosystem was how everyone was always supportive of each other, and each project was willing to help one another. It was a lovely vibe. That’s changed recently, with the quarreling factions, and that hurts all sides. This rough bear market missed expectations, and war between two large and important factions, all with just unfortunate timing, have left scars across our small ecosystem. While this beauty has been scarred, it’s not gone nor forgotten. We look forward to bringing those WAGMI vibes back for our supporters by whatever means necessary. We’ve been developing a new strategy and also forming and bringing into shape our future plans.
And finally, what are your artistic plans for the near future?
Our plans for the future reach beyond visual art. We will keep searching for ways to feed value back to our supporters and our holders across everything that we have planned. We have two series that will launch soon outside of our ecosystem, and all roads will always lead back to those who have gotten us here. This will never change or go away.

While 2022 caught us all off guard, it also taught us many important things about ourselves and our young space. My wife loves story-telling as much as she loves creating visual art. Our longer-time horizon goals are to create a global membership collective between artists, storytellers, collectors, and creatives known to us right now as “The Foundation.” We’re developing contacts that we can use to explore further ways to merge these areas (visual art, digital art, storytelling, books, verified ownership, collectibility, and membership) under one banner for collective growth, enrichment, and norm bending. This will come into view more over the next several months, and we will release further information as we move forward.
