Coming from far Indonesia, Cyberpopgirl NFTs are finally on KodaDot! Read on to learn more about this incredible artist.
Get ready to be transported into a world of vibrant colors and imaginative landscapes with our NFT artist CryptoPopGirl. In this interview, we dive into the creative process and inspiration behind this unique artwork featuring this fantastic character.
Let's introduce you to our community because you are new to Polkadot. Tell us something about yourself as an artist. What is your background?
Greetings all. I really like art. I've been an artist for 8 years. I'm not very good at English, but I believe art transcends all languages. I'm oky akbar, I’m from Indonesia. I'm a full-time artist. I do both digital and traditional work. I like visual arts. I like watching movies, listening to music, and drinking coffee.
Who is CyberPopGirl? What is her story?
Cyberpopgirl is a female art character I draw, I like Japanese culture, and I like technological progress. I also wrapped it with music. Sometimes I get inspired by the music I'm listening to. I am also inspired by artists who make assistive devices for people with physical disabilities, like people with visual and hearing impairments. Or ones who lost their limbs. It really helped them.
Can you tell us something about the world she is living in?
I made several perspectives on CPG life, such as the 90s pop era. Some live in the future. Some are in the middle of nowhere, fighting for their rights.
What does your creative process look like?
I work mostly with Procreate and sometimes make animations in After Effects. It usually takes me 2-6 days to finish one artwork. I enjoy playing with colors. I like purple, pale pink, and blue.
How many CyberPop NFTs are out there?
There are already hundreds, even thousands if counted by the PFP work entitled Hikari, on 7 different NFT platforms, including KodaDot.
Which CyberPopNFT is your favorite?
It’s tough to choose only one. I create art because I like it. Each NFT has its own story. So all the artwork that I do is artwork that I like.
You minted a few pieces on KodaDot. What can you tell us about this experience?
I like to add to relationships, both friendships and also other cool people. And I'm always open to people who invite me on positive terms. So I'm happy to be a part of Kodadot.
Is more coming to KodaDot?
I already have 10 NFTs on KodaDot. I'll probably wait till some of them find their new home. Then I will proceed to create a new one.
What do you like more? Cats or dogs?
I like cats and foxes. 🐱🦊
What other plans do you have for this year? Is there something interesting you are planning?
I want a solo exhibition in Tokyo, Japan. I have had two exhibitions in Tokyo, so I thought I could exhibit there with many friends from Japan.
We expect to see your NFTs during our offline NFT gallery in Prague this June!
What do you say about the situation in the NFT market?
I didn't pay much attention to that. I focus only on creating my masterpieces because I believe art is eternal.
Thank you for this interview. You have fantastic art, and I have already collected one piece I like. We are excited to see where your story in KodaDot will end! More about the artist can be found here.
