Long time no see, what have i missed?
Couple notes from latest travels and look back on KodaDot’s journey in the realverse.
The very much deserved rest has finally come and yet, the journey still continues.
From hazy streets in Amsterdam, to beautiful and hot weather in Split, following up with Prague Blockchain week, KodaDot team has decided to finally take couple days of rest.
Why do we write about this? You probably haven’t seen any post from us for some time now, and that changes now. We will try hard to recap monthly from KodaDot’s metaverse ride, which essentially means you will be hearing from us now on regular basis.
Our medium articles are more focused on certain issues and subjects, this publication is focusing more on the general picture. I’m your host, damsky and i wish you pleasant reading.
Who’s damsky?
I started in KodaDot in December 2021 and since then it was quite a ride. KodaDot is open-source nft marketplace running on Kusama.
After 2 years spent in Iceland, coming back to Europe’s hot weather and old habbits was challenging. Mainly, new opportunities have risen and possibility to meet up with the team in person was very close. April. Amsterdam. Meeting with fellow KodaDot anons was pretty nice.
AmsterDOT was a ride. We all kinda wanted to see each other in person and Amsterdam was ideal place for that. The conference in general was very pleasant and full with builders from the ecosystem, no smell of bear market, just pure building atmosphere and 4 days of agenda. Oh and the food, lovely!
Not too long after Amsterdam, KodaDot team is heading to Split, where sun hits hard and working conditions are decently decreased. We’ve met with couple local folks and as usually, handed out ton of merchandise, including stickers, t-shirts, hoodies. Blocksplit conference in general was fine, but you have to get used to the weather and different seaside conditions. We’ve got a new contributor to our team Clairee, who is taking care of our social media. Welcome!
Split, Zagreb, Maribor, Grac, Brno, Prague. Well. Prague was a beast. We’ve only had couple days window between Blocksplit and next conferences starting in Prague throughout the Prague Blockchain Week.
Generally, as i had the chance to get personally involved in organizing some of the events, i was looking forward to this for a long time. First in the line is UTXO22. Open blockchain Czechoslovakian conference, focusing primarily on beginners and local folks. The event was held in gigantic Gabriel Loci, which is sick place for an event, but i’d rather go there for a nice techno party in crematory room. Oh, that was there aswell. I guess everything was perfect then. More than 135 speakers, 2 days of full-on agenda and a lot of new connections. We definitely enjoyed that, but with every enjoying, there has to be recovery phase.
We’ve had one day to recover from this amazing event and right onto the next one! Dotsama Prague.
KodaDot team was the main event organizer. Open Polkadot&Kusama conference focusing on long term builders and ecosystem participants. Oh what more could you wish for? We could see best out of best there and if you weren’t there, well guess what. You will have another chance hopefully this year.
The event went generally pretty well, we’ve had 9 talks, one panel, catering, ton of merchandise and a pretty nice afterparty in the center of Prague. Follow twitter profile of DotsamaPrague for latest updates! Also, videos will be published every week on Dotsama Prague youtube channel
Here we go, this time, we’ve had couple days to recover and onto the last event of the week, EthPrague. Atmosphere, design, speakers, topics, hackathon. Some members of KodaDot team were hacking, some were shilling our EVM beta implematation and some were recording podcasts with the participants. All for the Public Good? If you look long enough, you’ll eventually find it. Nice event, nice vibe and finally, plenty of time to rest before we go to Polkadot Decoded in Berlin!
See you soon..
